To: All Parents, Guardians, Staff and Program Participants
At the August 27th Downeast Horizons Board of Directors (BOD) meeting, the BOD voted unanimously to cancel the 2020 Annual Dinner due to COVID-19.
This decision was determined to comply with the Governor’s and the Maine CDC COVID-19 guidelines, which limit the number of individuals that can gather in an indoor shared space to no more than 50 people.
Program participants and their staff will be encouraged to have their own smaller Annual Dinners at their respective residential homes or day/evening programs. Furthermore, DEHI has decided to change from our one large Christmas Party to several smaller agency Christmas Parties in December. Program participant’s gifts that would have been given out at the Annual Dinner will be saved for these Christmas Parties.
On behalf of the entire Board of Directors and myself, I thank everyone for doing your part here at Downeast Horizons to make this a safe and special place.
I hope and pray, I am able to see you all at our 2021 Annual Dinner next October.
