2021 Annual Dinner Announcement

RE: 2021 Annual Dinner

At the August 26th Downeast Horizons Board of Directors meeting it was voted unanimously to cancel the 2021 Annual Dinner due to COVID-19. Canceling this event for the second year in a row was a tough decision as we understand the Annual Dinner is a traditional favorite to all.

With the unfortunate recent increase in Covid cases, the number of individuals gathering in a shared indoor space is becoming a concern again.  In the interest of everyone’s safety, we feel uncomfortable holding an event where over 400 individuals are expected to attend.

Program participants and their staff will be encouraged to have a small Annual Dinner at their residential homes or at their Day/Evening Program they attend. Program participant’s gifts will be saved for the Christmas parties in December.

On behalf of myself and the entire Board of Directors, I thank you all for your understanding.  We hope and pray we all will be able to gather for the 2022 Annual Dinner. Be well and stay safe.
