Throughout our lives people come and people go. Some come into our lives and make us a part of their lives, making our world a wonderful place. Such is what many of us have been able to have with our dear friend Ernest Dowling. Ernest, after fighting a valiant battle with cancer, has left our world to transition to a better place. This has left us in tears, and an impeccable heartache as our love for Ernest is so strong. Whether you knew him for 25+ years to just a few moments, you knew he was genuinely a very kind person with a tremendous sense of humor. Ernest love to joke around with people. He always initiated a prank or a scare on those he knew could take and boy, did he love it when it was given back to him. This, his giggle, his smile, his compassionate love for his family and friends will always be remembered. As it was often heard in conversations with Ernest, we say “See you on the flip side Buddy ol’ pal! We love you!”
A service of celebration of Ernest life will be held on Saturday, August 31st at the Crossroads Apostolic Church in Hancock starting at 9:30 am.
